Gomasio is a combination of roasted sesame seeds blended with Himalaya salt.  The name comes from the Japanese kitchen but the product is used all over the world.  It is used to season one’s food at the table, giving a hearty delicious and nutty taste.  It can be added to steamed vegetables, steamed rice, sprinkled on salads or simply eaten plain (1 or 2 teaspoons). It is a good source of protein, calcium and fiber.
